The picture and document attachment feature allows you to attach created pictures and documents to cases or items. These pictures may be pictures of the item or crime scene photos.

Suggestion: We do not recommend that you attach every picture from a crime scene to an item. This feature is intended to give the user an example view of the item. Users can immediately see a clear preview of the image when the item is being viewed. Many organizations save all photographs to a CD and then add that CD as an item in the system.

To attach a picture or document simply click the <ADD NEW> icon to the right of the case or item you want to attach the picture too. This will take you to a page where you can browse for the picture you'd like to select and upload it from your hard drive.

Notice in this screen shot that item #1 in this case has a file called 100bill_1.jpg attached to it. You can click the file name to view the file or image. The red X to the right will allow you to remove the picture.
