Inventories
From TrackerProducts Wiki
Overview
Before reading this section you should view the help file that covers scanning items in preparation for a inventory
The inventory section of the Tracker Products software allows system administrators to easily perform the necessary item inventories when required. Please refer to the PDA section of this manual for an explanation on how to use the PDA for inventories.
Audit Setup
>> Quick Menu > Audit Setup
The audit setup features is an administrative tool, which allows the system administrator to turn on and off certain system audit / inventory notifications.
- Location – This section will only be shown if you have multiple agencies enabled. From this drop down menu, select which facility you'd like to audit. Each facility has separate audit features.
- Active / Disable – Toggle this switch to turn on audit features for the selected agency.
- Audit Period – Select how often you will be performing an audit. It is recommended that you select the monthly option and go to the next step.
- Days / Months Audit Interval – If you want to perform an audit every year then you will put a 12 in this box. That would indicate that your audit interval is every 12 months. If you were to select daily in the previous field then you would have indicated that you want to perform an audit every 12 days.
- Number / % Items to Audit – For a random audit report, this area allows you to select how many items or what percentage of items will be on the random audit report.
- Reminder – How often do you want to see a message on the screen or email as to when an audit is coming due?
- Next Scheduled Audit – When is the next audit due?
- Save – When finished customizing audit features, click the save button
Random item report
>> Audit > Random Item Audit
After completing the audit setup section, this report will become active. When the report is run, the system will automatically scan the database for the total items you asked for or a percentage of your total inventory. These results will then be placed on the report that will complete the random audit.
Suggestion – We recommend that you routinely perform a full inventory with the PDA device. You can then have your superior or person in charge perform a random inventory. In this scenario, the random inventory will be perfect because you completed a full inventory with the PDA and fixed any problems before the full audit.
