Active X Script Install

The only IE plug-in required too properly operate the EvidenceTracker.com system is Meade Co’s Active X printing script. The script will allow IE to interact with your windows printer system. This script can be installed prior to use of the system or while using the system. If you are using a Microsoft XP system you will be prompted to install the plug-in as you are running the software and land on any page with printing functionality. You will be prompted to accept and install the Active X script which you will want to agree too.

(Note: You must be logged in to your computer with an account that is capable of installing Active X Controllers: See your network admin if you do not know that this is possible)

Right click on the install message and click to accept.

The only problem that most users face in working with this script is that it does need to be installed by a person with permission on the PC to install new software. Most PC’s will never have a problem with this. However, if your network is locked down and you are prevented from installing application you will have a problem with this. You will need to contact your system administrator for help with install this script.

If you see this message then the script was not properly installed and you will need to contact ET your network support person.
